Remote Adventures near the Arctic Circle

October 30 to December 17, 2026

As an ongoing project, Gabriola Photography Club curates the art display space downstairs at the Gabriola Medical Clinic on Church Street, Gabriola Island. Club members take turns having solo exhibitions or taking part in group exhibitions.

Imagine a place so remote you can’t get there via road, only by boat or helicopter in the summer or sled dogs in the winter.

A new exhibition by Corinne Flaws features photos from her recent adventure in the wilderness of the west fjords of Iceland and South Eastern Greenland, among glaciers and icebergs and rocky shores and rough seas.

Corinne is an avid adventure photographer who loves to explore unique locations around the world, as well as around our own Island. No matter the location, she captures the beauty in order to share it with us via her photography and her other art. You can check out more of her work on her website.
